Q: What’s different about the Heavy Duty version?
A: Thicker 16AWG wire instead of standard 18AWG. That means lower voltage drop over the 3m cable run — more reliable power delivery to your Starlink Mini, especially when battery voltage is marginal.

Q: Do I still need a step-up converter with this?
A: The heavier gauge wire helps, but it doesn’t eliminate voltage drop entirely. For extended stationary use, a step-up converter is still recommended. For driving use, the Heavy Duty cable is excellent on its own.

Q: Is this worth the extra over the basic car charger?
